Upcoming features
Posted 847 days ago
The next version of FaceList is about to appear somewhere on the horizon. At the moment I am collecting the features I want to add and things I want to change.
These things will be part of the next release:
- plugins give FaceList the ability to handle OpenType fonts using .net 3 (WPF) technology
- new ways and possibilities to sort fonts:
- fonts can be “tagged”
- tags can have subtags, e.g. “Slab-Serif” as a subtag of “Serif”
- significant changes to the user interface:
- tabbed MDI: More working space
- dockable and customizable toolbars and panels
- more consistent and intuitive application handling
The plugin model is nearly finished. After completing it I will work on the new UI and the other new features. Don’t count on it, but perhaps you will be able to have a look the new version in the end of september.
Greetings
